Last Weekend and This

First of all, let me start off by saying...Happy New Year!  It is so hard to believe that it is already 2013.  Man, how time flies!!

Last weekend was my 31st birthday.  We didn't do much to celebrate.  When Brad got off work on Saturday, we headed to the coast.  My dad got a permit to ride the jeep on the beach, so that is what we did Sunday morning.  

I enjoyed looking at all the nice houses...dreaming of one day having one as nice as these.

I have never rode on the beach before...it was pretty fun.  Brad is already talking about getting a permit for his truck, so we can drive it on the beach next year.  

After we finished riding on the beach, we rode down to Ft. Macon.  Brad loves history, so he enjoyed walking through the museum and then we actually walked through the fort.

Last weekend was a great weekend, till we came down with the stomach bug Sunday night.  It was HORRIBLE!!!  I was out of work Monday and Tuesday, and Brad didn't go back to work till Friday.  So, that is why I am just now blogging about last weekend.

Now on to this weekend.  Today is Jacques's 3rd birthday.  The weather was very nice today, so I took him for a walk in mom's neighborhood.  Johnathan and his pups met us there.  Needless to say, people probably thought we were crazy walking six dogs around the neighborhood.

Poor Jacques is out numbered.  Mom has two dogs (the Maltese and the lab in Johnathan's arms) and Johnathan has the three bigger labs.  Sorry Jacques...no more pups at the Bowen house!!!
