1 Month

Braden is a month old today...

...how can this be?!?

Over the past month, he has been to the doctor four different times.  The first time we went was the day we came home from the hospital.  Brad was changing his diaper and noticed a rash on his stomach.  Come to find out, it was just a rash that most newborns get.  

We had another doctor's appointment when he was a week old.

He weighed 7 pounds 9.4 ounces and was 21 inches long.  He was in the 75th percentile for his weight and 96th percentile for his height...going to be tall like his daddy.  I do not remember his head measurement, but he was in the 49th percentile.

He went back again at 2 weeks, just for a weight check.  He was up to 7 pounds 15.5 ounces.

I took him back again this week due to him having a cyst like lump under his left nipple.  The doctor said it was just a milk duct, which is very common. He finally is over his birth weight...weighing 9 pounds 4.1 ounces.

Here are some things Braden is up to at 1 month.

Loves to be on his tummy

Starting to smile a lot

Likes to hold hands

Loves to be held

Sleeps in his crib for naps and at night

Starting to like bath time a lot more

Turns his head from side to side

Starting to follow with his eyes

A good eater, sometimes
Eats 4 ounces, per feeding
Wears newborn diapers
Just started wearing 3 month clothes

Braden, we have loved life with you over the past month!  We can hardly wait for all the months to come!!
