First ER Visit

This post is long overdue, but I wanted to have it documented, since I do turn our blog into a book each year.

At the beginning of the month, when Braden had RSV, we had our first visit to the ER.  He was having a very hard time breathing and would get choked whenever he coughed.  Brad and I were very uncomfortable, so I called the night clinic, they were closed, so off to the ER we went.

Once we got there, of course his breathing had improved.  We had a very sick little boy, but you sure couldn't tell by looking at him.
Although he acted like he felt ok, his mommy and daddy didn't feel great about the whole situation.
(I need to get pictures made...the only family pictures we have are this one and when Braden was in NICU.)

We were very blessed to have a great doctor looking after us that night.
He expressed to us that Braden's lungs sounded clear and from the outside, everything looked great.  He still suggested that we do a chest x-ray, just to make sure pneumonia was not setting in.

If you have ever been in the hospital, you know waiting for x-rays takes FOREVER!!  So, this is what Brad did as we waited.
He kept looking to see when they were coming...while making jokes the that the doctor was on Amazon and everyone else was playing on the computers.

They finally came and got us for his x-ray, after waiting for about an hour.  Braden had fallen asleep in Nanny's arms (yes, she went with us), so we just let him stay that way.
His x-ray came back clear and we were ready to be discharged.

Needless to say, we probably didn't have to go to the ER, but it sure did make us feel better that Braden was not as bad as he sounded.  We praise the Lord that our little man is so much better.  Those 2 weeks of dealing with RSV, seemed to last forever!!
