5 Months

Well, here we are again with another monthly update.  Braden is now 5 months old.

We have been to the doctor 3 times over the past month.  This is actually the first week we have not taken him over the past 4 weeks.  

The first time I took him because he had a rash around his eye, which was due to him putting his fingers in his mouth and rubbing his eyes.  The second time mom took him for me. He had a cold, was running a fever and throwing up.  Since we have already dealt with RSV, we wanted to make sure he wasn't getting that again.  Come to find out the poor boy had an ear infection in his right ear, so the doctor put him on an amoxicillan. He started that on a Friday and was still throwing up the following Monday, so back he went.  This time the doctor said his ear was looking better, but she thought he might have a little virus.  Finally after 16 days of all that mess he is finally back to being a happy little baby.

During all those doctor visits, Braden now weighs a little over 16 pounds.  We will get all his measurements when we go in April for his 6 month well-child visit.

One thing that Brad and I were concerned about with Braden joining our family was how him and Jacques would do together.  Well...I am not sure who loves who the most.

Braden absolutely loves dogs.  I guess that is a good thing considering Jacques lives in the house and my mom has 2 dogs...which is where Braden stays during the day.

In love with Mickey Mouse

Has really started to babble

In love with Jacques/dogs

Had his first ear infection

Had his first virus

Started baby food (carrots and sweet potatoes)

Drinks 8 oz every 4 hours

Braden, we wish time would slow down!  You are getting to a very fun age where you are very interactive.  Can hardly believe in a few short weeks you will be 6 months old!!! We love you little buddy!!
