Baby #2: 28-32 Weeks

Things continue to go well during this pregnancy; although these weeks were a little more active!

At the beginning of week 28, we had a little scare.  I was in a lot of pain and anytime I stood up, it was worse.  I made a call to the midwives and they told me to get off my feet completely and elevate them for 2 hours.  Thankfully after the 2 hours, I did feel better but not 100%.  The next day I was back to 100%, thank goodness.  You talking about scaring me to death...I was so worried I was going into pre-term labor.

This week I also was diagnosed with Strep Throat, for the second time during this pregnancy.  Luckily after some antibiotics, it went away quickly.

28 Weeks - Heart Beat:  140s
29 Weeks
30 Weeks - Heart Beat:  Bouncing between 140s-150s
31 Weeks
32 Weeks - Heart Beat: 144
I was diagnosed very early with gestational diabetes (GD).  When you previously have been diagnosed with GD, they test you early the next pregnancy. Well, I failed again!  Instead of doing the 3 hour test, I told them I knew exactly what to do, so just let me treat myself.

So at week 32 we had another ultrasound to see how big Carly Michael was and to make sure everything was ok.

She was weighing in around 4 pounds 8 ounces...a little bigger than her brother (insert shocked face here)!!
Her sweet little profile :)

Here she is face on.  You can see her eyes, nose and some big sweet cheeks.
And bring on the hair bows, b/c CM has some hair!!
So that wraps up weeks 28-32.  We are now on to doctor's visits every 2 weeks.  I love being able to hear her sweet heartbeat so often now!!

Here is Braden at weeks 28-32.
Believe it or not, we don't have much longer to go :)
