This past weekend my girl friends took me to Savannah, Georgia for a Bachelorette Weekend. We had the best time. I had never been to Savannah before, so it was nice to go and look around. I want to go again, when it is much cooler, so that I can actually tour the historic town.
We stayed downtown in a house. The house was very cute, and perfect for the seven of us. When we got there on Friday, we got settled in and then headed to the grocery store. After we got back, we got ready for a night out in Savannah. We ate dinner at Spanky's...or as Elizabeth called it "Spanky, Spank, Spank!" The food was really good.
Here we all are before dinner.
After dinner we started walking downtown. Everything down there is so pretty.
Me and Jessica
We stopped in the middle of the road for the girls to dress me up as a bachelorette. The picture below is of Stacey, me and Jessica, with me all dolled up as the bachelorette. As we are walking down the street, Elizabeth starts yelling "Taylor's getting married!!" She didn't embarrass me, but she sure did Stacey. Stacey kept telling her to hush...it was hilarious!!
As we were walking down the river front, there were people out there break dancing. I am not sure where they get all that rhythm from. It was fun watching them.
We then went to a Piano Bar. I love going to a Piano Bar. They have two pianos set up, where people play and sing. You can request songs, and they will play them. We requested Carolina Girls. Of course, they had to let everyone know I was the Bachelorette and get me up on stage. I tried to get them all up there with me, but as you see, Lesley was the only one that would go!
Saturday morning we relaxed around the house. We then got up and went shopping at the mall. It has been forever since I have been shopping at a mall, just not something I do much at home. After we went there, we had to get back to the house, for all seven of us to get ready, with one bathroom. Yes, seven girls and one bathroom. We made it work!!
We went out to eat at the Pirate's House. It was neat, especially since all of us, except Jessica graduated from ECU, the home of the Pirates!
Lesley and me at Dinner.
Elizabeth and Stacey
All of us.
After dinner, Melissa had set it up for us to go to a show. We went to see The Beat Goes On. It was a show representing songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s. We had a lot of fun, especially Stacey when they started singing and dancing to Michael Jackson. Here is a picture of the girls in the cast singing and dancing.
Sunday, it was time to pack up and head home. Girls, I had a lot of fun in Savannah. Thanks for making this weekend so special!!
