Well, a lot has happened over the past week. Last Wednesday night, we celebrated Bryant's birthday at Rucker John's. We had a lot of fun spending time with friends for his birthday.
This little girl definitely enjoyed celebrating her daddy's birthday.
Thursday night we celebrated Aunt Al's 50th birthday at Texas Road House. The food was delicious, and we were all stuffed when we left there. Afterwards we took this picture of Aunt Al with MeMa and Big.
As you can see Big has long hair. He decided he would be silly and wear this hat with curly hair hanging out of the back of the hat. It was hilarious. The older he gets, the more funny he is!!
As most of you know this past weekend, NC battled Hurricane Irene. I headed to Raleigh Friday for Jessica's Bridesmaid's Luncheon and Rehearsal/Dinner. Everything turned out great! The food at the luncheon and rehearsal dinner was wonderful. After the dinner, we quickly headed home to brace ourselves for the hurricane. What we thought would be over by around lunch on Saturday, didn't end until late Saturday evening....which meant I didn't make it to the wedding. So, of course, I do not have any pictures to share.
I hated that we weren't able to be there for Jessica's special day, but thankful we were home due to our home having damage. We lost power around 9:30 Saturday morning, and didn't get power back until around 8:30 Sunday night. This is what our house was looking like Saturday.
The insurance adjuster came today, so hopefully we can get a new roof soon, so that we will not have to worry about having any more leaks in our house.
It is back to work for me tomorrow. Our office has been closed yesterday and today, due to not having power, so me and this little one have been hanging out today.
He is now getting where he likes to chill out in his kennel, going in there on his own.
Hope you all are having a great week, and survived Hurricane Irene!!
