Speed Limit

I tried to do this post yesterday, but for some reason blogger wouldn't allow me to do so!!!
Yesterday was my dad's birthday.  He kept telling me he was now the speed limit...55.   Dad had a wonderful birthday!!!

I wasn't going to share this story, but then again, how can I not when Jesus was so on our side.  On December 8, my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer.  We were told that this was something that needed to be taken care of, but not immediately.  So on January 23, dad had colon surgery to remove the cancer.  After meeting with the doctor, we were relieved that it was very difficult to find the tumor, due to it being so small.  They sent the tumor and all the lymph nodes to biopsy.  The results came back 2 weeks later and the colon cancer was a low stage 2 and all the lymph nodes came back negative.  Praise report!!!  The cancer had not spread.  Our wait began for another 2 weeks to find out if he was in need of any treatment.  I can honestly say that we were all very worried about meeting with the oncologist yesterday.  I can not tell you how many times I prayed that dad would not have to have any type of treatment.  Well, all of our worries came to an end and our prayers were most definitely answered.  The oncologist told us....NO TREATMENT NEEDED.  Hearing that yesterday was the best birthday present anyone could have given my dad!!!  I was sooo happy yesterday when I heard those words come out of her mouth.  As soon as she said it, I said "Thank you, Jesus!!!"  Those words have come out of my mouth a lot over the past month.  HE has definitely been on our side over the past few months.  Although dad will have to have blood test often, as well as, CT scans, we are so very thankful that he can get back to a normal schedule!!

Lord, we just thank you so much for answering all of our prayers, and being the Light that we needed during this time!!!

Dad...I hope you had the best birthday ever.  I LOVE YOU!!!
