28-29 Weeks

Well, we are finishing up week 29 of my pregnancy.
There are times when I feel like time is slowly passing by, but then again, it is hard to believe we only have a little over 10 weeks left!!

Since our last Braden update, I took the 3 hour glucose test.  I was so nervous I was going to get sick, but it wasn't bad at all.
I FAILED again...I found out right before Brad and I were leaving to go to the beach for our anniversary.  I was upset when I first found out, but knew that it would be ok, since we only have 11 weeks left.

We met with the nutritionist Thursday and she told me what I needed to do.  I have to make sure I stay within a certain about of carbs per meal and check my blood sugar 4 times a day.  So far, it has not been that bad.  There are definitely some adjustments I have to make to my diet, but at least I am not one who likes a lot of sweets...carbs are definitely my weakness.  We did find out that starting around 32 weeks we will have weekly doctor's appointments.  During these appointments, they will likely do an ultrasound to make sure Braden isn't too big.  One good thing about all of this is we get to see his sweet little self around 8 more times before we officially get to meet him.

Due to having to go to the doctor more often, Brad decided to sit out on the appointment that I had Friday so I took my mom.  I met one of the midwives that I had not met yet.  She was super sweet.  There is only one midwife that we have not had the chance of meeting, but hopefully we will in the coming weeks.

Everything looked great and we got to hear his little heart beating away.  His heart beat this time was 144, which is average for him.

Our next appointment is July 31 and we will have an ultrasound.
