Just like with Braden, Brad did not want to find out what baby #2 was. When we went in for our visit at 17 weeks, I still didn't think we were going to find out what we were having. I left it completely up to him as to if we were going to find out or not.
As we were having the ultrasound done, our tech said when I get to the part of finding out, I will let you decide if you would like to know. Well, when the time came I looked at Brad and let him decide. He said if we can tell, then we will know, if not we will just wait. Well, as soon as she zoomed in, we thought we knew...we were right!

I knew as soon as we found out, we had to go to It's Sew Wright and take a picture with either a pink or blue elephant, just like we did with Braden.
Just for fun, here is the picture I took the day we found out with Braden.
We are so excited about adding a little girl to our family. I have always wanted a little girl, but now that I have had a little boy and so into what he likes, I am not sure I know what to do with a girl...except to buy lots and lots of hair bows!!
With Braden we had a girl name picked out. After talking about it for a while, we still loved the name so her name is
CARLY MICHAEL BOWEN
My dad's first name is Carlton and Brad's dad's name is Michael, so she is being named after both of our dad's. I am sure they will both spoil her completely rotten!
At 17 weeks her heart beat was 151.
Carly Michael, you are loved already sweet girl,
and you have a big brother who is going to love you even more!
