Today was our first home game of the season. Although I absolutely love summer time, I get very excited when football season arrives. I am really excited about this year because Brad decided to get tickets this year too, so we will both be at all the games.
Today we hosted Virginia Tech. We got out there a few hours before the game so that we could tailgate for a little bit.
We didn't tailgate too long b/c we wanted to make our rounds and see everyone before we made our way into the stadium.
The first game of the season, we have to make sure we get in the stadium early, b/c we want to check out all the pre-game celebrations. Nothing was too different from last year, but it was still fun watching all the Pirates celebrating.
Before the game started we paid respect to all the lives that were lost 10 years ago on 9/11.
On the mega tron they put up a picture of the twin towers.
Then it was time for the Pirates to make their grand entrance.
We enjoyed the game, just wish the Pirates could have pulled through with a win. Oh well, they have next week off, so they will have 2 weeks to practice for the next game.
