Football and Fishing

This past weekend consisted of football and fishing for the Bowens.

Saturday we had a night game.  The weather was nasty off and on all day, but managed to be ok during tailgating.
Even though it didn't rain on us while we were tailgating, we were still dressed for it!

We were all excited about having a night game, until the news that bad weather was on the way.
About 10 minutes into the second quarter, we were all asked to evacuate the stadium.  I have never had this happen at a game before.  We have definitely sat out in the rain at a game, but never been asked to leave because of lightening!

Since we were having to go to our cars to wait for the storm to pass, we just decided to go on home and watch the game in the comfort of our own house.  The game was delayed for an hour and a half, but that is ok, the Pirates won...that is all that matters.  I hate that I have yet to stay and watch an entire home game.  The first home game I left because it was too hot, and this time I left because of a storm...Not something I like to do!!  Sure hope in two weeks I will be able to stay for an entire game!!!

Sunday the weather was great, so Brad and I took the boat out for a little fishing.
I didn't do the fishing, Brad did it all.  I was in charge of the boat:  making sure we weren't in too deep of water or too close to other boats!

Just call me Captain Tay!
Brad did catch some fish, so we had that for dinner last night.  I must say they were pretty good!!

We had a great weekend and I hope you all did as well.  Tomorrow is Wednesday, so the weekend will be here again soon!!!
