Wine & Design and Homecoming

Friday night we celebrated Elizabeth's birthday, which was last weekend.  We went to Wine & Design in Wilson.
This was my first time doing anything like this, and I must say that I had a blast.  Elizabeth picked out the painting, and the whole time I was thinking...there is no way that I can paint that.

You can do anything with a little help and Stacey and I needed just that!
I was proud of my finished product.  Although I do not have anywhere in my house to hang it, my mom quickly decided she could use it in my room at her house!
Thanks for inviting us Elizabeth.  We had a great time celebrating your birthday and can hardly wait to go again!!!

Saturday was homecoming at ECU.
Homecoming is always a fun game to attend...especially when you win 41-7. It is also fun to see the many who come back to their Alma Mater.

Chris Johnson who played for ECU now plays for the Tennessee Titans.  He took Homecoming as an opportunity to come back to support the Pirates.  This is not a good picture, but that is him in the bright pink hat.  I am loving how football players (college and NFL) are wearing PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!!
During half time they named the Homecoming King and Queen.  The ECU band along with other high school bands provided the entertainment.
While some of us were watching the half-time entertainment, some of us were sleeping in the car.
This is Johnathan's friend that he works with...he must have been super tired.

Today has been a very laid back day around the Bowen house...which I am loving!!  Hope you all have had a great weekend!!
