Football in the Hurricane

Attending a football game in the hurricane is not the norm around here.  Hurricane Sandy affected eastern North Carolina starting on Saturday, but that did not stop East Carolina football!  So, what did we do...dress for the wind and rain.

We dressed in hats
and rain gear.
If only you could see our pants!

Dressing like this is not how we like to attend a game.  True pirates come in purple and gold, and as you can tell, our purple and gold aren't that noticeable.  I do have on a purple hat, but it was covered for the most part by the hood on my jacket.

It rained the entire time we were at the game.  Because the pirates were losing terribly, we decided to leave after a few minutes into the third quarter.  Better luck this weekend!!

As far as Hurricane Sandy, we didn't have any damage.  The coast had some damage, but not nearly as bad as what the northeast is having.  I was off work yesterday, and I couldn't stop watching the national coverage of the Hurricane.  The northeast is definitely in my thoughts and prayers.
