Instead of doing a Life Lately post for the month of December, I am just going to recap all the things we did to celebrate Christmas.
We ended November by going to the Ayden Christmas Parade. We normally try to do the Ayden, Greenville and Winterville ones, but this year it was just Ayden.
The first weekend this month I took the kids to Artisans to visit with Santa Claus. Braden was so excited about seeing him and was so happy to tell him he wanted a teeny tiny motorcycle for Christmas.
And someone got just what he asked for from Santa.
We started wearing all things Christmas around here. This was Braden waiting for Papa to pick him up for church one Sunday morning.
One Saturday we had to go to Garner to pick up one of Brad's Christmas presents, so we took Braden with us. He had the best time playing around in the store.
It even snowed some while we were up there...so pretty!! I am hoping we get some snow this winter :)
I had bought this outfit long before we started talking about having children because I thought it was so cute. Now I have a little girl that could wear it!
And then of course the kids had matching Christmas pajamas; although I never got a picture of them together.
We celebrated Christmas with our friends early this year. Normally we do it around New Years, but wanted to get a jump start this year. We had the best time getting all 4 couples and all 7 children together. Oh how special it is to see our little crew grow!
Mary Griffin invited us over for Cookies with Santa one Saturday. Carly Michael was the only one that I could get to take a picture with Santa. Braden said he was scared.
We pray these little girls are best buddies like their mommies when they grow up.
One special thing that happened in our family this Christmas season was Johnathan asked Sarah to marry him. We are so excited to have Sarah a part of our family soon!!
The Friday before Christmas we did our annual ride around and look at Christmas lights.
Then we did a tradition of baking cookies for Santa, which we forgot to leave out for him
and we baked a birthday cake for Jesus.
We ended our Christmas Eve celebrating at Aunt Johni's house.
Santa even paid us a visit.
And this one was just a little unsure...
Then it was back home so we could celebrate Christmas with Nanny and then go to bed so Santa would come visit. And someone got just what he asked for from Santa.
Carly Michael enjoyed watching Braden open her presents from Santa, but loved sitting with her B.
We enjoyed a day full of being with family.
By the end of the day, we were all like this...
I hope you and yours had a great Christmas season. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and pray that we all remember the true meaning of Christmas!!
