Looking Back at 2017

Well 2017 has come and gone in a flash I feel like.  Instead of doing the questionnaire that I have done the past couple of years, I will just highlight a few things that happened each month.  

January

We had our first snow of the year.

Mom had to have both of her knees replaced this year, so Braden started child care.

February

We found out we were pregnant with Baby Bowen #2...no pictures to prove :(

We celebrated Valentine's Day by taking our annual family picture.

When in Child Care, you always know sickness will come.  February was a sick month for us.  Braden started with Strep and ended with the flu.

We celebrated Dad turning 60 at Rucker Johns.

March

I had gone out of town for a conference and Braden ended up with the stomach bug.  Then we all got some form of it :( 

We had our first ultrasound with Baby Bowen #2.  Hearing that heart beat is just so precious!

And Braden took on round 2 of the flu.

April

We celebrated Easter with lots of egg hunts...

And going to church on Easter Sunday.

Braden had his first ever picture day :)  They told us to wait and see the picture because it was so Braden...yep, it was!

And we ended the month making our first beach trip of the year.

May

Braden finally decided he could ride his tractor by himself that he got for his birthday in 2016.

We found out Baby Bowen #2 was a girl, so we had to take a picture just like I did when we found out Braden was a boy.

We celebrated Memorial Day at the River.

June

Braden participated in his Child Care's graduation.

We celebrated our favorite daddy on Father's Day

We enjoyed a fun day at the Radford's pool with our friends.

July

We spent our July 4th at the River.

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary.

Brad and I took our annual trip to Ocracoke and had lots of fun with the Beddards.

And to round up the month Logan asked Brittany to marry him :)

August

We made a trip to Clinton to celebrate birthdays within our family and were able to get some cousin time in.

Braden had his last day of Child Care...back to Nanny's he went.

And we got our last look at Carly Michael before she was born.

September

We went to the beach for Labor Day weekend and squeezed in a trip to Fort Macon while we were there.

Braden started Preschool at Jarvis.

My best girls gave us a shower for Carly Michael.

October

Braden turned 3 years old, so we celebrated him with a Paw Patrol Party.

My coworkers surprised me with a diaper shower...oh how we love diapers.

And we welcomed Carly Michael to our family on October 22.

November 

We enjoyed all fall things, especially dressing our two pumpkins alike.

Briley took some pictures of Braden and Carly Michael for us.

December

And December was all things Christmas.

Johnathan and Sarah went off to the mountains in Georgia as their Christmas gift to one another, and came back an engaged couple.

And we celebrated the birth of our Savior on Christmas Day...Happy Birthday Jesus!!

2017 was a great year for our family.  We look forward to what God has in store for us in 2018.  Thanks for being a part of our year!!
