I am linking up with Kelly's Korner for the Show Us Your Life: Living Rooms. When I found out she was doing home tours again, I was excited! Brad and I got married last July and I really haven't posted pictures of our house, so I figured this was the perfect time to do so. Enjoy our living room!!
Our living room is right off the foyer. When you walk in the front door, this is your view.
If you followed my old blog you will notice that some of the furniture looks familiar. I had some of the living room furniture in my living room in my duplex.
The mirror above the couch was a wedding shower gift from my mom. My aunt Johni had a mirror very similar to this one that I was in love with. My mom was able to find me this one, I think at Kirkland's. The lamps are the ones that I used at my house. The end tables and the coffee table were Brad's parents. They used these tables when they first got married. How sweet is it, that we have Brad's parents first end tables and coffee table in our first house together.
This side of our living room is probably my favorite. I am actually sitting in the chair & ottoman as I am typing!! I love the table that sits in between these two chairs. Brad's mom had this and gave it to him when he moved in the house. I think this is the perfect place for it! The table with the lamp actually came off of craigs list. And of course, I already had the bird prints. I believe they came from Kirkland's as well.
I wasn't a big fan of wanting to put the TV above the mantle, but with all of our furniture, we didn't really have much choice. The piece of furniture that holds all of the gadgets for the TV, Brad got from Sams. I have always thought this was a pretty piece of furniture.
This picture is hung above that piece of furniture. At our wedding reception, we had everyone sign this so that we could display it in our house. I go over to it every now and then to read what people wrote. Sweet notes!!
And this is what our living room looks like when you are walking towards the front door.
Well, that is our living room. Wish you could come over and enjoy watching TV with us. Although, if I were you, I wouldn't want to be watching Swamp People, that is what Brad is watching as I blog!!
Head on over to Kelly's Korner to see more living rooms.

The architecture of your home is beautiful! I also love your use of color!
ReplyDeleteI truly love your space. Lots of room for seating and family fun.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the whimsical topiary rabbit. It's a nice surprise.
I'm really enjoying visiting the SUYL participants this week. I'm loading up with lots of decorating ideas.
