Honeymoon Day 6 & 7

Friday was our last full day of our honeymoon.  We had a pretty laid back day, doing the normal things of going to the beach and the pool.

We had been out walking around...when we came back to the room, we had a message on our phone.  I checked it and it was someone from the front desk.  She said Mr. Bowen, your flight numbers for tomorrow no longer exist, could you please give me a call.  I told Brad what it said, and then I started to get a little nervous.  What happened was, he had booked our honeymoon a while back, so the flight numbers had changed since they were first booked.  I was excited to know that the lady at the front desk got everything settled for us.

After Brad got everything situated, we were free to do whatever for the rest of the day.  We didn't want to stay out too late because I had to pack up all of our stuff, and we wanted to be well rested for a full day of flying on Saturday.

Saturday morning we were up early because our bags were being picked up by 9:30.  After the men came and got our bags, we headed to Bayside one last time for breakfast.  Our ride was to be there at 11 for us to head to the airport.

Waiting for the bus to pick us up
The bus ride back to the airport, was so much better than the van ride to the resort.  On the way to the resort, it was very bumpy.  Mind you in Jamaica they drive on the left side of the road, the road doesn't have lines on it, nor are they wide what so ever.

We finally made it to the airport safely
Greeted by a...
...Yes, it is a lizard.  And yes, he was crawling under my carry on luggage.

We flew from Jamaica to Miami.  Due to weather, our flight was delayed 45 minutes.  We finally got to Miami at 7, with our flight to Raleigh being at 8:25.  Brad and I were both a little nervous about making our flight.  It took us over an hour to go through immigration and customs.  We then had to check in our bags and make it to our gate...well, you know how they run in the airport in Home Alone...that was us, and we still missed our flight.  So our honeymoon continued in Miami for an overnight stay.  They placed us in a hotel with dinner and breakfast.  Our flight was Sunday at 10:20, and then we would be homeward bound.

We had a lot of fun on our honeymoon!  It is nice to be home and getting back in a routine.  Brad and I both are enjoying being Mr. and Mrs.

This post wraps up all of our wedding festivities.  Thanks to all of you who helped us celebrate this special time in our lives!!
